Simple Bible Answers will try to give as short an answer as we feel can be
given to questions people are asking today. If your
looking for 2+2=4, you aren't going to find that. Sorry to say most
How to use this site At the top and on the left are a number of tabs or buttons that can be followed. When you click on a button (link) the main page will list a series of links, and a brief description of that link. Click on that link to bring up that page. If you click a tab you will head to the page it's self. On the pages, and in the text you may find "hyperlinks". They will be underlined and slanted, and in the color yellow, if you click on them, they will bring you to a page that either goes into more information on the subject, or at least pertains to the subject. To avoid repeating whole text these links, will at times, bring you to other subjects where a idea is more completely expounded upon. If you find a page you like, bookmark it or list it under favorites for easy visits. Questions are listed Q.-"subject". "Reports" are from our feedback page. "Essays" are me being long winded. "Guest Essays" are others being long winded. "Links" are links to people, or sites, that I respect or at least can be useful to today's Christian. If you feel offended by anything on this site please let me know. If you think I'm wrong or ill-informed PLEASE let me know. The One who I'm trying to make a feeble attempt to serve is perfect. I fear that I'm far from it. Writing to me just to tell me I'm a idiot isn't of much help though, I have family that can do that, please tell me where and why and back up your statements with verse please. The more I learn the more I realize just how much I don't know. I rather stand corrected, then to fall flat, feeling I was accurate. I truly feel called to put this site up but in some ways it scares me to death. I know that God will hold me to a higher standard and if I ever thought I lead someone astray, it would trouble me. No one has all the answers and sometimes words can be misunderstood. Don't ever believe something just because it is written or said by someone you trust when it comes down to God's word. Be like the Bereans, test everything and pray for understanding and truth, on these pages, and anywhere that Gods Word is proclaimed. Please don't believe anything written on this site just because it's written here. CHECK OUT EVERYTHING! Use the search tab at the top to look for words or phases in this web site. If you have a question you would like to see answered on this site please email it. If I get a number of questions in the same vein, given time, I will try my best to answer them. If you wish to print anything off this site, feel free. Anything truly profound isn't of my own doing, but comes by way of prayer, study and insight from the Holy Spirit. I feel it a honor to work on a site like this, I can't imagine copyrighting any of God's word. If I had to pay royalties to God, how much would the cost be, more then what I could afford, thank God for grace.
Who are we/why this site When I walk into a Christian book store or a Books-a-Zillion I have always found it a bit disconcerting that the authors name is many times displayed in large bold type, out shadowing the subject or even the name of the book. This is true of many authors I hold with great respect, and many that are little more then snake oil salesmen. I understand that it's the publishers many times that do it for sales, no matter how humble the author. We answer to no one but God on this site. That is why it's a .com and not a .org We won't apply for a 501 (c) (3) from the IRS, this means we won't be filing for tax exempt status. Churches and organizations will file for "C3's" because they want to make sure that all money given goes to the group. It also is the only way to send a receipt, so the giver can claim it on their taxes. We don't need to worry about that, we aren't taking money and I'm not deducting the cost of this site on my taxes. Also the "C3's" open themselves to implied restrictions. Not to endorse a candidate in a election as a example, not that we would, but I'd rather have the freedom too, if I so desired. We will give to Cesar what's Cesar's, and give to God, what's God. In that way we don't have to worry about crossing the "church/state" line. We aren't selling anything, nor do we wish for donations. We take no monies from any denomination, church, or group. We aren't worried about tax brakes, or sales based on name value. Who we are is of little concern, what we believe is all that matters, as far as us personally. For that reason you won't find any name or be badgered for money. If you are truly moved to send a gift I have listed a few web sites that could use the help, and you can give it in our name. Somewhere in this web is a link for us but we aren't going to make it easy, we much rather give to others. What matters most is God's Word, unchanging, timeless, factual, and the Good News in it. May be some day we'll give a testimony if we see a need for it, but we're not crazy about talking about ourselves. But you have a right to know where our foundation is, I'll tell you this. I'm (the writer here) a grandfather who works full time. I've been married to one woman for over a quarter of a century (she isn't crazy about the way I phrase that) and she works fulltime also. We live paycheck to paycheck. But God has given us so much more then what money can buy, not to mention His only begotten Son...Jesus. What we're not is just as important. We're not prophets, or Apostles. Not some new-age guru, or someone who woke up one morning with some divine inspiration of hidden, or new, knowledge. We're just laymen using their common sense and a lot of prayer and study. For a while now I've watched a long line of talking heads bad mouthing or ill informing the world what is God's word and what his people have to say. And because of a lack of study by God's people, they are falling prey to a new age Zen like Christianity. Many of the questions being asked today have been answered long ago, it's just not getting out. There are no new questions that the Bible doesn't answer, either to the point or in principle. Technology changes but man stays the same. Over the years I've heard the same questions or misinformation. I'd think to myself "someone needs to do something". But of course, if your not part of the solution, your part of the problem. So I'm trying to do my part, I know there are people much better qualified then I to do this, so let me say a head of time, sorry. We will try our best to keep this site in layman terms. We invite everyone from nonbelievers to teachers, to use this web, but will try to keep the language in daily "kitchen table" speak. What it is geared for is today's Christians. If you have some understanding of the Christian faith it will be helpful but not needed. I have found that most of today's Christians don't really understand their faith. You can't be born a Christian nor can a baptism when you were a child make you one. It must be a willful act on behalf of the person. You must receive salvation by putting your faith in the death, blood, and resurrection of Jesus to pay for your sins. And you need to know who this Jesus is. Many have been lead astray to follow a new age purpose driven Jesus that lacks the ability to do anything, let alone offer salvation. We will quite often refer to verse's in the Bible, please look these up. A lot of verses will be numbered, and those will be in a blue, so will be quotes from the Bible. Many times full verses will be listed at the bottom of a page. For the most part quotes will be from the KJV (King James Bible). When checking on verse's, read the text before and after the versus to make sure it is in context. Just because someone quotes the Bible that doesn't mean the versus is being used correctly. Cults and new age churches depend on misquotes, and taking versus out of content for their survival. God's people perish from lack of knowledge. Between Bible teachers and scholars, certain terms and words can be used to express their beliefs and foundations quickly. To the average person this "God speak" might as well be another language. Some terms like "born again", "fundamental", and "evangelical" have been muddied by the culture today, so much they no longer bring to mind their intended meanings for the average person. Many terms have been high jacked by the new age. It's gotten to the point were two people with completely different views can have a conversation. Using the same words and terms they can speak for hours, each speaking from completely different view points. Afterwards they can think they both agree with each other, yet be worlds apart. Today many words don't mean the same thing to everyone. You can ask three or more members of a church if they are "saved", have they "repented" of their sins, are they living under "grace", do they have "salvation", and all can say yes. But ask them what that means to them and you'll get three or more different answers. Because of work, a lack of good Bible based churches, and little funds, I haven't felt that I was doing all I could in service to the Lord. But God has been working on me to start this web site. When I say this ,I don't mean I'm hearing voices, or having dreams. It's more like a feeling that I have forgotten to do something very important. Always in the back of your mind. You know you need to get started, or that feeling won't leave, till you do. Like only getting your house half painted. You know that feeling will stay till you complete it. I would have loved to have been a missionary, but a slow awakening and answering to God on my behalf, and with the course my life has taken, it's made that near impossible. But traveling the web has shown me that there is a new wilderness out there. It takes little time surfing the web to find out there's, a whole new breed of highwaymen, twisted souls, and ungodly roaming this new electronic wilderness. So this will be my mission field. answers that will give a fulfilled feeling
aren't that simple. Whole books have been written to some of these questions and
rightly so. What we will try to do is give a short(?) answer to the subject,
then follow with the reasons for it. In some cases other view points that may
also be valid, or maybe opposite to the writers view point, will be presented
also. At the end there
will be a short summary. The hope here is that after a while, by reading the
answers, you will get a understanding on how to study the Bible. God wants all
people to understand his Word. The Word was given for everyone to understand on
their own. Once you get a understanding of how, you won't have to refer to a
man, church, or a web site. The answers will, with hope, be long enough to have a
understanding of why they were given. They aren't meant to be exhaustive. As we
have written already, most of these questions could have whole books on them, and
many do. Here we just hope to give you a answer, a reason for it, and at the
same time teach a mind set to understand his word.
